Get recommended on Clowdy

So, you’ve joined Clowdy, you’re attracting followers and publishing great projects.

But what if you want to reach even more people, and have your project featured as a staff pick?

You may have noticed that we recommend a selection of artist portfolios on the Home and Discover pages. These artists are also recommended to users via email which, along with staff picks on the Discover page, is a great way to help users find both your portfolio and your projects.

We heard people are more likely to keep reading when there are dogs or cats involved.

We’ve compiled a few tips on how to become one of Clowdy’s recommended followers and a staff pick.

  1. If your profile looks good, it’s much more likely to get attention. Having a good looking profile gives people the incentive to find out. This means having a detailed bio, profile picture, cover photo and plenty of credits.
  2. Credit other people that worked on your project such as the filmmaker or the vocalist and, of course, don’t forget to credit yourself. Profiles open up at the credits tab so nobody will see anything unless you’ve credited.
  3. Make sure you have detailed project descriptions complete with hashtags. It helps the discovery process. Think of a hashtag as a way to categorise your project. #alternative

We don’t judge on the amount of followers you have. Whether you already have 400 followers, or just 4, if you publish awesome projects and follow the above guidelines, there’s an excellent chance we will feature you as a recommended follower and your project as a staff pick.

Time to get creative!
